Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker, Nantwich

Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker
This former government owned nuclear bunker, was first used in World War II as a Starfish site to confuse Luftwaffe bombers looking for the vital railway junction at Crewe. Later on a ground controlled interception radio station was added; it was renamed RAF Hack Green. The site was later abandoned until the Cold War led the Home Office to take it over as a regional government headquarters. It now contains military and cold war memorabilia. With activities and simulators, this is a haunting and educational trip back into our military history.
