Ty Mawr Country Park, Wrexham
Ty Mawr is one of my favourite places for sunday afternoon walk with the kids and dog. Situated by the Cefn Viaduct on the River Dee this country park offers walks, a fantastic play area, BMX track and farm animals. There is a lovely circular walk which is great for those with younger children. There are adequate facilities - Toilets, visitor centre and small cafe. Wrexham Waterworld, Wrexham
More than just a swimming pool, Wrexham Waterhold is host to a 6-lane competition pool, learner and function pools, a 65 metre slide, which is great for the family, as well a relaxing bubble pool and rapids river ride for the more adventurous. There is a 300 seat specatator gallery, ample family changing facilities and a small cafe which is great for snacks and drinks after your swim. Plas Madoc Leisure and Activity Centre, Wrexham
Plas Madoc is a great leisure centre on the outskirts of Wrexham. The pool is great for families particularly those with small children as there is a shallow beach area ideal for paddling. In addtion there are slides and a wave machine which all children love. If swimming isn't your thing there are other activies available including; squash courts, badmintion courts and indoor foorball. Techniquest Glyndŵr, Wrexham
Techniquest provides good hands on activities for children (and adults) to learn about science and engineering in a practical and visual way. Located at Glyndwr University - this attraction is good quality educational fun and can easily occupy a morning or afternoon. Erddig House, Wrexham
The beautiful National Trust property of Erddig is located approximately 2 miles south of Wrexham.
The house is described as a unique family home that's captured the way of life of a bustling household community during the early years of the last century.
The house and gardens are fantastic for a day out on a dry day. The house has been returned to its former glory and will captivate any audience.

The Plassey, Wrexham
The Plassey offers a great family day out with over 25 individual shops and craft workshops set around charming Edwardian buildings. Enjoy lunch in the coffee shop, Tea Garden and Restaurant. Take a leisurely stroll along the 2 miles of nature trail walks.
